All inclusive is the part that sneaks up on you. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, drinks by the pool, all folded into the nightly rate. You stop doing restaurant math and just enjoy the trip.
Why Tenerife works in September
The summer crowds thin out and the prices drop, but the water is still warm and the weather holds into October. Teide is the volcano in the middle, and you can hike it or take the cable car most of the way up. The south coast has black-sand beaches, the north has banana country and old towns. Seafood dinners, if you wander out for one, run $25 to $35 a person with wine. The island moves slowly. That is the whole point of going.
